Add team members and give them a login
Add staff to your team, choose their role, branch, calendar colour and commission, and invite them to sign in with their own account.
Updated 2026-10-02
Team members can exist in FurKisses without a login, for example just to appear on the calendar and roster. When you want them to use the app, invite them.
Who can do this: roles with Manage staff, shifts & time-off (by default Owner, Admin and Manager). Only Owners and Admins can add, edit or invite Admins, and only an Owner can make someone an Owner.
Add a team member
- 1Open Staff in the sidebar (the page is titled Team, at
/app/staff) and click Add staff. - 2Under Basics, enter Full name and, optionally, Designation (shown on the calendar), Email (needed for an invite), Phone, Role, Branch and Calendar colour.
- 3Under Employment, set Type (Full-time, Part-time, Contract or Intern), Status (Active, On leave or Exited), Joined on and Commission %.
- 4Keep Customers can book appointments with this person ticked if they take appointments. Bookable staff get their own column on the calendar.
- 5Optionally add an Emergency contact.
- 6Click Add team member.
Give them a login
- 1Open their profile and click Invite to app. If there's no email on their profile, add one first, because the invite is matched by email.
- 2Click Create invite. FurKisses doesn't send an email itself. Instead it gives you a ready-made message.
- 3Click Copy message or Share on WhatsApp and send it to them.
- 4They create an account at
/signupwith exactly that email address and are linked to your team automatically. If they already have a FurKisses account with that email (even one that belongs to another business), they just sign in — the invite is picked up within about an hour, or straight away the next time they sign in.
While the invite is waiting, their profile shows Invite pending and the button changes to Re-send invite, which replaces the old invite. Once they're linked, the profile shows Has app access.
Good to know
- Branch: choose All branches, or pin them to one branch. Pinned staff only work in that branch's data.
- Role controls what they can see and do. See Roles and permissions.
- Commission % is applied to invoice lines credited to them. See Staff performance.
- If you change someone's email after inviting them, create the invite again.
- People can belong to several businesses. If they're already in another FurKisses business, the invite still links them, and they can switch businesses from the top bar.
- If someone is already linked to your business, inviting their email again doesn't create a second login for them.
- There's no delete. Use Deactivate on the profile instead. They lose access straight away, stop being bookable and are marked Exited. You can't deactivate yourself, and a business must always keep at least one active Owner.
