Create service agreements and record signatures

Write consent forms and waivers once, then let pet parents sign on their link or record a signature on their profile.

Updated 2026-10-03

Service agreements are your consent forms, waivers and terms, such as a grooming consent or a boarding waiver. You write them once in Settings. Pet parents can then sign from their private link, or you can record a signature on their profile.

Who can do this: creating and editing agreements needs Business settings, services, rooms (by default Owner, Admin and Manager). Recording a signature needs Create / edit customers & pets.

Create an agreement

  1. 1Go to Settings, then Service agreements (/app/settings/agreements).
  2. 2Click New agreement.
  3. 3Enter a Title, for example "Grooming consent".
  4. 4Edit the Agreement text. It starts with a sample consent you can change. Write at least a sentence or two.
  5. 5Under Applies to, tick the services it's for. If you leave them all unticked, it shows as All services.
  6. 6Keep Active (customers can sign it) ticked.
  7. 7Click Create agreement.

Each agreement card shows its signature count and an Active or Inactive badge. Click Show text to read it.

Record a signature

  1. 1Open the customer and go to the Agreements tab.
  2. 2Click Record signature.
  3. 3Choose the Agreement. Expand Read agreement text so the pet parent can read it — it shows the text of the agreement you've selected.
  4. 4The pet parent types their full name in Signed name. It starts filled with the customer's name.
  5. 5Click Record signature.

The signature appears in the list with the agreement name, the name as signed, and the date and time, marked "in-person". Click Text as signed to see the exact wording the pet parent agreed to.

Every active agreement a customer hasn't signed appears under Needs your attention on their private link. The parent opens the text, types their full name and taps Sign agreement. FurKisses records the name, the date and time, and the network address the signature came from, and the signature appears on the customer's Agreements tab. See check-in forms, e-signatures and change requests.

Good to know

  • Signatures recorded on your device are marked "in-person". Customers can also sign remotely from their parent link.
  • Applies to is a label for your reference. Taking a booking doesn't block on a signature, but unsigned active agreements keep showing on the parent's link until they are signed.
  • Only active agreements can be signed. Use Deactivate / Activate to retire or bring back an agreement.
  • An agreement that has signatures can't be deleted, so deactivate it instead.
  • Each signature keeps its own copy of the title and text at the moment it was signed. Editing an agreement later only affects new signatures, so past signatures always show what was actually agreed. Signatures recorded before this copy was kept show "Signed before text snapshots were kept".
