Set up services, add-ons and size-based pricing
Build your service menu with durations, prices by pet size, tax rates, add-ons, per-night pricing, deposits and no-show fees.
Updated 2026-10-03
Your service menu is used by the calendar, invoices and your online booking page.
Who can do this: roles with "Business settings, services, rooms". By default that's Owner, Admin and Manager.
Add a service
- 1Go to Settings → Services & pricing (
/app/settings/services). - 2Click Add service.
- 3Enter a Name and choose a Type (Salon grooming, Mobile grooming, Boarding, Daycare, Vet clinic, Pet store or Other). Services are grouped by type.
- 4Set the Duration: type a number and choose minutes, hours or days. New Boarding services start at 1 day and Daycare at 8 hours; half values such as 1.5 hours work too. The minimum is 5 minutes and the maximum 30 days. Online booking uses this to work out how long each slot is.
- 5Enter the standard Price.
- 6Optionally set GST rate % (named after your tax label). Leave it blank to use your business's default rate.
- 7In India, you can add a SAC code, for example 999729 for grooming.
- 8Set a Sort order (lower numbers appear first) and a Description, which is shown on your online booking page.
- 9Click Add service.
Price by pet size
Tick Different price by pet size and enter prices for Toy (<5kg), Small (5–10kg), Medium (10–25kg), Large (25–40kg) and Giant (40kg+). When a pet has a size saved, that size's price is used. Sizes you leave blank fall back to the standard Price. If you untick the box and save, the size prices are removed.
Deposit to confirm a booking
Under Deposit to confirm a booking, choose Fixed amount or Percentage of the price and type the value. The example line under the field shows what the deposit would be on that service's price. Choose None to remove it. Services with a deposit show a Deposit chip in the list.
Which bookings actually ask for the deposit (none, online bookings only, or every booking) is set in Settings → Booking policies. See take a deposit to confirm bookings.
Fee for no-shows and late cancellations
Under Fee for no-shows and late cancellations, choose Fixed amount or Percentage of the price and type the value. The form reminds you of your free-cancellation window, for example "Applies when cancelled less than 24 hours before, or on a no-show.", with a link to Booking policies where the window is set.
The fee isn't charged by itself. When a booking is cancelled late or marked a no-show, your team is asked whether to charge it. See charge no-show and late-cancellation fees.
Options
- Active: untick to hide the service without deleting it. Inactive services show an archived tag.
- Bookable online: untick to hide the service from your booking page. It then shows an in-store only tag.
- Add-on (e.g. nail trim): online, customers can only add an add-on after picking a main service. Its duration is added to the appointment.
- Priced per night (boarding): for overnight stays. Online, customers choose a drop-off time and the number of nights.
- Colour: helps you spot the service on the calendar.
Edit or delete
Click the pencil icon to edit a service, then Save service. Click Delete to remove one. Past bookings and invoices keep their details. If the service is still in use, for example in a package, it's archived instead, and you'll see "Service is in use, so it was archived instead". Any other problem shows an error and nothing changes.
Good to know
- The starter services added at sign-up use placeholder prices, so update them before you take bookings.
- Changing a price doesn't change bookings or invoices you've already made.
- The prices here are your normal prices. To charge more on holidays and weekends, or less on quiet days, add rules in Settings → Peak & discount pricing. See peak, holiday and weekend pricing. A discount for a family's second pet is set in Settings → Booking policies. See multi-pet discounts.
- Deposits and fees are worked out from the price on the booking, so they follow size-based and peak prices.
