Peak, holiday and weekend pricing

Create rules that raise prices on busy dates and lower them on quiet ones. Bookings pick up the right price by themselves.

Updated 2026-10-03

Pricing rules change your prices by a percentage on the dates you choose. Use them for festive seasons, long weekends and school holidays, or to fill quiet weekdays with a discount.

Who can do this: roles with "Business settings, services, rooms". By default that's Owner, Admin and Manager.

Add a rule

  1. 1Go to Settings → Peak & discount pricing (/app/settings/pricing) and click Add rule.
  2. 2Type a Name, for example "Festive peak". Customers and staff see this name next to the price.
  3. 3Under Applies to, tick the service types the rule covers. Tick nothing to cover all services.
  4. 4Set From date (optional) and To date (optional) for a season. Leave both empty for a rule that runs all year.
  5. 5Under Days of the week, tick the days it applies to. Tick nothing for every day.
  6. 6Under Price change, choose Surcharge (dearer) or Discount (cheaper) and type the percentage. You never need to type a minus sign.
  7. 7Leave Active ticked and click Add rule.

Examples

  • Festive peak: all services, 24 December to 2 January, surcharge 20%.
  • Weekend boarding: Boarding only, Sat and Sun ticked, surcharge 15%.
  • Quiet Tuesdays: Salon grooming only, Tue ticked, discount 10%.

Reading the list

Each rule shows its name, the change ("+20% (dearer)" or "−10% (cheaper)"), what it applies to ("All services" or the service types), and its dates and days. Use Switch off to pause a rule without deleting it.

Try it

Under Try it, pick a service and a booking date. You see the normal price struck through, the new price, and which rules caused the change. Use it to check a rule before the season starts.

How rules work

  • Rules add up. When several rules match, their percentages are added together. +20% and −5% gives +15%.
  • The price is fixed when the booking is made. Changing or deleting a rule later doesn't change bookings that already exist.
  • The booking's start date decides. A rule applies when the booking starts on a matching date and weekday.
  • Multi-night stays use the start date for every night. A stay that checks in on a peak day is charged the peak price for all its nights.

Where staff and customers see it

  • On New booking, the Price section shows each line's normal price struck through, the adjusted price and the rule name, such as "Festive peak +20%".
  • On the booking page, the Services table shows the same.
  • Online bookings get the same adjusted price.
Editing the services on an existing booking prices the lines again with the rules active at that moment.
