How customers pay: UPI apps, QR, netbanking, wallets and cards
What your customer sees after tapping a pay link, and why the options differ a little between phones and computers.
Updated 2026-10-03
When a customer opens a pay link, they see your business name, what they're paying for and the amount due. With FurKisses Payments (and your own Cashfree account), they choose how to pay on that same page.
The ways to pay
- UPI app. On a phone, the customer taps their UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and others). The app opens with the amount filled in, and they approve it with their UPI PIN.
- UPI QR. On a computer or tablet, a QR code is shown. The customer scans it with any UPI app on their phone and approves the payment there.
- Netbanking. The customer picks their bank and logs in on the bank's own page.
- Wallets. The customer picks a wallet and approves the payment in it.
- Cards. Card details are entered on a secure payment page, never on FurKisses. FurKisses does not see or store card numbers.
After paying, the customer comes back to a "Paid, thank you" screen. The payment appears on the invoice or deposit within a few seconds.
Why typing a UPI ID is only offered on iPhone
Since February 2026, NPCI rules restrict UPI "collect" requests, where the customer types a UPI ID and then approves a request in their app. Because of that:
- On Android and on computers, the customer pays through a UPI app or by scanning the QR code. There is no box to type a UPI ID.
- On iPhone, entering a UPI ID is still offered alongside the UPI apps.
This is a rule from the payment network, not a FurKisses setting, and it can't be changed per business.
If a payment doesn't go through
- The customer sees that it failed and can try again from the same link, with the same or another method.
- Nothing is recorded on the invoice until the gateway confirms the money was paid.
- You can see each attempt and the reason it failed under Settings → Payments → Online payments. See see every online payment.
- If money left the customer's account but the payment shows as failed, the bank returns it automatically, usually within a few working days.
With other gateways
If you use your own Razorpay, Stripe, PayU, PhonePe or Mollie account, the customer taps Pay now and chooses how to pay on that gateway's own page. The methods offered are the ones enabled on your gateway account.
Good to know
- The pay link always asks for the current balance, so a part-paid invoice only asks for what's left.
- A customer can't pay an invoice that's already paid or voided. The page says so instead.
- Treat the link as private. Anyone with it can see the business name, what it's for and the amount, and pay it.
- If online payments are off, the link tells the customer to pay at the counter or call you.
