Send a pay link for an invoice

Copy an invoice's pay link or send it on WhatsApp, and see the payment land on the invoice by itself.

Updated 2026-10-03

Every unpaid or part-paid invoice has a Pay online card on its page. Use it to get paid without the customer coming to the counter.

Online payments need to be on first: either FurKisses Payments or your own gateway. See accept online payments.

  1. 1Go to Invoices (/app/billing) and open the invoice.
  2. 2Find the Pay online card on the right.
  3. 3Click Send on WhatsApp. WhatsApp opens with a message to the customer that includes the amount due and the pay link. Press send in WhatsApp.

Or click Copy link and paste it anywhere: SMS, email, Instagram, or a WhatsApp chat you already have open.

The Send via WhatsApp and Payment reminder buttons at the top of the invoice include the same pay link while money is still due.

What happens when they pay

  1. 1The customer taps the link and sees your business name, the invoice number and the amount due.
  2. 2They pay by UPI, card, netbanking or wallet. See how customers pay.
  3. 3Within a few seconds the payment appears under Payments on the invoice as Online, with the gateway name and its reference, and the invoice status updates.
  4. 4You get an "Online payment received" notification, and the customer gets a thank-you message if payment alerts are on.

You don't record anything by hand.

Deposits on invoices

If a deposit was paid for the booking, it's applied automatically when you raise the invoice:

  • The New invoice page shows "Deposit paid: … — applied automatically" and what's left to collect.
  • Take payment now defaults to the amount left after the deposit. You can't take more than that.
  • On the invoice, the deposit shows under Payments as a Deposit line.
  • If the deposit is bigger than the invoice, the extra goes to the customer's wallet.

If online payments aren't set up

The Pay online card still shows the link, with a note pointing you to Settings → Payments. Until you set up FurKisses Payments or your own gateway there, the link tells the customer to pay at the counter or call you, and Send on WhatsApp isn't offered on the card.

Good to know

  • The link is the same for the life of the invoice. It always asks for the current balance, so you can send it again after a part payment.
  • Once the invoice is fully paid, the link shows "Paid — thank you". If the invoice is voided, it shows "This is no longer payable".
  • A customer can't overpay an invoice. If the same invoice is somehow paid twice online, the extra is kept as wallet credit for that customer so nothing is lost.
  • If you void an invoice that was paid online, the invoice shows Refund due and reminds you to refund the customer.
  • Treat the link as private. Anyone with it can see the business name, invoice number and amount, and pay it.
  • Using your own wording? In your invoice message templates, put {{pay_link}} where the link should go. If a template doesn't mention it, the link is added at the end.

Who can do this

Anyone who can view invoices can copy or send a pay link: Owner, Admin, Manager, Veterinarian and Front desk by default.
