Post photo and video updates during a stay

Add photos and short videos from your phone on the kennel floor. Shared ones appear on the pet parent's link straight away.

Updated 2026-10-03

Pet parents love seeing what their pet is up to. You can post photos and short videos from your phone in a few taps, from the boarding board, the daycare page or the stay sheet.

Who can do this: anyone with the "Create / edit bookings" permission (Owner, Admin, Manager, Veterinarian, Groomer, Caretaker and Front desk by default). You can delete photos you added yourself. Managers, Admins and Owners can delete any photo.

The quick way: Add photo

  1. 1Open Boarding (/app/boarding) or Daycare (/app/daycare).
  2. 2On the pet's card, tap Add photo. On the stay sheet the button is called Add photos.
  3. 3Tap Choose photos or videos to pick from your phone, or Camera to take one now. You can pick several at once.
  4. 4Type a Note or caption if you like, for example "Zoomies after lunch".
  5. 5Leave Share with pet parent switched on, then tap Upload.

Each file shows its own progress: Shrinking…, Uploading…, Saving… and then Uploaded. The photos are saved as a note in the care timeline, so the parent sees them next to the rest of the day's updates.

Attach photos to a care log

On the stay sheet, under Log care:

  1. 1Choose a Type (feeding, walk, medication and so on) and write the Details.
  2. 2Tap Attach photos or videos and pick your files.
  3. 3Tap Add log. The log is saved first, then the photos are attached to it.

After saving a shared log you also see Send care update on WhatsApp. That opens WhatsApp with the update written for you, and you press send.

What the parent sees

  • Share with pet parent is on by default. Shared logs and photos appear on the parent's link straight away.
  • Switch it off for anything that is only for your team. Those photos carry a Not shared badge in the gallery.
  • In Photos & videos on the stay sheet, use Hide from parent or Share with parent under any photo to change your mind later.

File limits

  • Photos: JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, up to 8 MB.
  • Videos: MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 16 MB. That is roughly 10 to 20 seconds on most phones, so keep clips short.
  • Large photos are shrunk on your phone before upload, which saves mobile data and makes them load faster for the parent.

Good to know

  • If a file fails, the reason is shown next to it. Tap the X to remove it and try again.
  • Deleting a photo removes it from the parent's link too. This can't be undone.
  • Quick one-tap logs (the feeding, walk and play chips) are also shared with the parent by default.
Tip: one good photo in the morning and one in the afternoon is plenty. Parents remember the photos more than anything else about a stay.
