What pet parents see on their link

A tour of the private page every pet parent gets: live status, photos, report cards, bookings with prices, deposits and invoices to pay, waitlist offers, vaccinations and packages, with no app and no login.

Updated 2026-10-03

Every customer has one private link. It arrives inside your WhatsApp alerts ("Booking confirmed", "Checked in", "Daily report card" and so on), and it opens in the phone's browser. There is no app to install and no password.

The address looks like /p/ followed by a long random code. One link covers all of that customer's pets and bookings.

The home page

The page opens with your business name and a greeting. Below that, parents see only the sections that apply to them.

Two things sit above everything else when they apply:

  • Slot available! An open waitlist offer, with the pet, the services, the date and time, and a countdown. The parent taps Yes, book it or No thanks.
  • Deposit needed. One card for each unpaid deposit, with the amount, the booking it is for and a Pay deposit button.

Then the regular sections:

  1. 1Needs your attention. Incident reports you have shared and they have not acknowledged yet, agreements waiting for a signature, stays that still need a check-in form, and a note when a change request is waiting for your reply.
  2. 2Happening now. A live card for every booking that is checked in or in progress, with a progress strip and a See live updates button.
  3. 3Upcoming bookings. Date and time in your business's timezone, the services, the pet and the branch. The status is spelled out: Requested — waiting for confirmation in amber for pending bookings and Confirmed in green. A booking whose deposit has been paid shows Deposit paid.
  4. 4On the waitlist. Requests that are still waiting for a slot, each with a Leave the waitlist button.
  5. 5Your pets. Each pet's vaccinations with the due date and badges for Due soon (30 days or less), Overdue and Verified, plus a button to upload a certificate.
  6. 6Packages & rewards. Credits left per service and the expiry date for active packages. Wallet balance and loyalty points appear only when they are above zero.
  7. 7Invoices. Number, date, total, status and any balance due. Unpaid and part-paid invoices show a Pay now button when you have Razorpay or Stripe connected. Without a payment gateway they show "Pay at the counter". Draft invoices are never shown.
  8. 8Past visits. The last 15 visits. Completed visits that have no rating yet show a Leave feedback button.

At the bottom of the upcoming list there is a Book another visit button (when online booking is switched on) and a tap-to-call button with your business phone number.

The check-in code

Each upcoming booking has a Show check-in code button. It opens a QR code and a 6-character code with the hint "Show this at drop-off and pick-up". Your team scans the QR code, or types the code, to open the right booking straight away.

The booking page

Tapping a booking opens its own page. This is the page parents watch during a stay.

  • Status steps: Requested, Confirmed, Checked in, In progress, Ready for pick-up, Checked out. The current step is highlighted, and check-in, ready and check-out times are shown once they exist. Cancelled and missed bookings say so plainly.
  • Report cards: the daily cards you have sent, newest first, with the mood, your summary and counts such as "2 meals" or "1 walk". Drafts are not shown.
  • Before and after: grooming photos side by side, with the groomer's notes.
  • Photos and videos: everything your team has shared for that booking. Tapping a photo opens it full screen.
  • Timeline: care logs grouped by day, newest first. A photo attached to a log appears under that log.
  • Details: each service with its price and any pricing note (such as "Festive peak +20%"), the Estimated total, the room, the first name of the staff member, and the branch with Call and Directions buttons.
  • Deposit: Deposit needed with a Pay deposit button while a deposit is unpaid, then Deposit paid with a note that it comes off the bill.
  • Request a change: for pending and confirmed bookings. Before a parent asks to cancel, they see your cancellation policy (see below).
  • Check-in form: a summary of what the parent submitted, with an Edit link until the stay ends.

While a pet is checked in, the page refreshes itself every minute, so parents can leave it open.

Parents only see care logs and photos that are marked as shared with the parent. Anything you keep internal stays internal.

Paying online

  • Pay now on an invoice and Pay deposit on a deposit open a pay page with your business name, what they are paying for and the amount due. The parent pays by UPI or card on Razorpay's or Stripe's own page, and the payment is recorded in FurKisses by itself.
  • Both buttons need a payment gateway. Connect one under Settings → Integrations. See accept online payments.
  • A paid deposit comes off the first invoice raised for the booking, so the parent only pays the rest.

Cancellation policy

When a parent taps Request a change and chooses Cancel it, they see where they stand before sending the request: "Cancelling now may incur a fee of …" if they are inside your free-cancellation window, or "Free to cancel until" with the date and time if they are not. Nothing is shown when the booking's services have no cancellation fee. A cancellation is still only a request: nothing changes, and no fee is charged, until your team replies.

What parents never see

  • Other customers, or any pet that is not theirs.
  • Internal notes, draft report cards, draft or unreviewed incident reports, and draft invoices.
  • Staff surnames or staff contact details.
  • Prices for anything that isn't theirs. They do see the price lines and estimated total of their own bookings, their own deposits and their own invoices.
